Bill Carter - President
Currently serving as President of the Center for the Arts Board, Bill has a background in legal expertise as a contract litigation attorney and, for many years, a managing attorney. Responsible for all aspects of firm operations and finances, he acquired so much knowledge he could write a book on legal issues—and did. In his younger years, he was also known to perform in bands and continues to have an interest in music of all kinds. Bill also served as two-time president of the Olney, Maryland Rotary Club which served the needs of persons locally and across the country.
Lang Ingalls - Vice President
Lang Ingalls is a Master Bookbinder working out of her atelier in downtown Crested Butte, making fine bindings year-round. Her work is internationally known and is found in exhibitions and collections across the globe. Lang also teaches at the American Academy of Bookbinding and served as a board member of the Ahhaa School of the Arts for several years, as well as spear-heading the Open Set Bookbinding Competition. These efforts are an extension of her interest in bringing a larger audience to the “book as art” arena. Lang is a member of several international binding groups and celebrates with the members of these groups the stimulating and textural aspects of creating a fine binding—with discussion of technique and terminology, and with laughter.
Adele Broughton - Secretary
Adele has been a part-time resident of Crested Butte for 16 years and a longtime volunteer at the Center for the Arts, including three years on the Board of Directors. Professionally, Adele has been a real estate advisor in Dallas, TX for 16 years and is a founding member of Compass. Prior to that she spent 17 years in advertising sales for magazines such as Town & Country, Country Living and SmartMoney as well as several years in TV sales for Ampersand. Also a CPA, Adele holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Alabama, and was a tax accountant with Ernst & Young. On the Center Board, she serves as an art advisor for the Kinder Padon Gallery and chairs the development committee. In Dallas, Adele serves on the Mission and Outreach committee for Saint Michael and All Angels church and is the liaison for Jubilee Park and Community Center.
Bob Valentine - Treasurer
Bob has been a resident of Mt. Crested Butte since 2016 along with his long-term partner Steve Bolton. They also spend time at their second home in Palm Springs, California and traveling. This is Bob’s second term on the board for The Center where he served on the development and finance committees. He currently is a member of the investment committee for the Community Foundation of Gunnison Valley (CFGV). Previously, Bob served as a board member, treasurer and finance committee chair for the Crested Butte Music Festival, and he and Steve support numerous charities throughout the valley. Bob spent 35 years in various positions in the accounting, finance, business and senior management of a large global commodity chemicals and refining company. He is an avid investor, animal rights supporter and he enjoys many of the activities and events our community offers.
Barbara Glazer Rosenblatt - Governance Committee Chair
Barbara Glazer Rosenblatt presented a series of works at Conduit Gallery, Dallas, Texas in May 2022. Phantoms represented two years of work using fabric to represent themes of metamorphosis and isolation. In addition to her soft sculptures, the artist works in a variety of mediums including pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and paper mâché. Barbara received a BA in Fine Arts from Brown University and an MBA from the Cox School of Business at SMU. Her work as an artist and illustrator has appeared in The New York Times, Worth, Texas Monthly, D Magazine, American Way, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice and The Dallas Morning News. Barbara has served on a number of community boards, including The Hockaday School (Board Chair), North Texas Public Radio and Television, The Ransom Center at The University of Texas, and Temple Emanu-El. Barbara and her husband Randy have had a home in Crested Butte since 1999.
Their two accomplished daughters and brilliant son-in-law also cherish their time
in the mountains.
Leigh Mundy - Development Committee Chair
Leigh Mundy brings a longtime commitment to the arts, which includes serving as Board President at several arts organizations. She is proud to have spearheaded the total restoration of a 900 seat 1924 vaudeville theatre and then became the Executive Director at the Strand Center for the Arts in New York. She has a long history as an owner and manager of commercial Real Estate and is current owner of Alpengardener Garden Center here in Crested Butte.
Margery Feldberg
Margery is an avid skier and 40-year second homeowner in the Upper Gunnison Valley. She was part of a three-decade effort to have a professionally-sized stage built at the north end of the valley. During the mid ‘90s, those efforts started with a needs assessment commissioned by an ad hoc group of arts supporters and later led Margery to serve as Vice President of the Crested Butte Music Festival, President of the Mt. Crested Butte Performing Arts Center, a member of the Arts Alliance and now a director of Center for the Arts. She also served for 10 years as director of the Crested Butte Land Trust and President of Mountaineer Square Homeowners Association. On the east coast, she is currently Vice President of Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy, the 18th largest land trust in the country, and was a director of New York-based Second Stage Theater. Margery retired from a professional career in finance and commercial real estate development to run De Hoek Farm, a farm-to-table breeder and purveyor of Black Angus beef in Connecticut.
Becky Frey
Becky is an award-winning luxury real estate advisor with three decades of experience and a reputation as a trusted advocate for her clients. She traces her legacy of service back to her childhood greeting customers in her father’s hardware store. Deeply connected to her communities, Becky co-chairs the Katy Trail 5K run/picnic in Dallas, TX and helped it grow by more than 5,000 participants. In addition to serving on the board for the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte, she has also served on the boards of Pi Beta Phi Alumni, Kidney Texas, Nexus Recovery Center and the Devonshire Homeowners Association. A proud Southern Methodist University Alumnus, outdoor enthusiast, and athlete, Becky compares her business and her volunteer service to the marathons and triathlons in which she loves to compete. Each requires a training plan and complete commitment—sticking with the deal and crossing the finish line.
Drew Kumpuris
Drew is recently retired from practicing cardiology in Arkansas for forty years. He and his wife discovered Crested Butte 25 years ago and it was love at first sight. They have maintained a second home in the valley since that time. Over the years, he has acquired so much sporting equipment to satisfy his love of hiking, biking, skiing, kayaking, golfing, and fishing that his cars no longer fit in his garage. In Arkansas, Drew served several terms on the Arkansas Symphony Board. He chaired the board for RiverFest Inc., the largest arts and entertainment festival in the state. He was the board chair for Catholic Health Initiative Health System of Arkansas and currently is board chair for the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement, a large health policy think-tank. In retirement, he has joined a biotech firm, NuShores BioScience, studying regenerative medicine.
Arvin Ramgoolam
Arvin is a writer and co-owner of Townie Books and Rumors Coffee and Tea House. He is the 2020 One Story Adina Talve-Goodman Fellow and a 2022 MacDowell Fellow. He has been a member of the Crested Butte community for almost 20 years with experiences ranging from acting and directing shows for the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre to being a DJ on KBUT and advocating for the environment with High Country Conservation Advocates.
Sam Robards
Sam is an American actor, director, writer and producer. Originally from NYC, he began his acting career on stage in 1980, and has since has appeared in numerous productions on and off Broadway, as well as movies and TV shows. He has received several accolades for his work including Tony and Drama Desk nominations, as well as both a SAG and Marmot award. He first became involved with The Crested Butte Center for The Arts in 1990 and is excited to be serving on the board of directors.
Tara Schoedinger
Tara moved to Crested Butte in 2021 from the Front Range. Tara is currently the Vice President and General Manager of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Tara graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Business degree with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. After college she worked as a consultant for Andersen Consulting and several other consulting firms, before joining Vail Resorts. Prior to moving to Crested Butte, Tara served as Chief of Staff for the Chief Marketing Officer and then as Chief of Staff for the President of the Mountain Division at Vail Resorts. During this time, Tara also served as Mayor for the Town of Jamestown for nine years and was a member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire & EMS Department.
Kiley Flint
As a dedicated and passionate full time resident of Crested Butte, Colorado, Kiley has made an indelible mark on the local real estate market, as well as the preservation of the area's natural beauty and in the enrichment of the community arts scene. Born and raised on the East Coast, Kiley's journey to Crested Butte began after graduating from the University of Vermont. Over the past 25 years, Kiley has wholeheartedly embraced the town's unique blend of natural beauty, tight-knit community, and outdoor recreational opportunities.
Kiley is the principal broker of the Crested Butte Collection, a partnership of long-time LIV Sotheby’s International Realty colleagues. In addition to her successful career in real estate, Kiley is also deeply committed to preserving the natural environment and the unique character of Crested Butte. For the past ten years, she has served as a dedicated member of the Crested Butte Land Trust board, working to protect the town's pristine landscapes and open spaces. Her love for Crested Butte, active involvement in the community, and dedication to doing her part is what she believes it means to live, work, and thrive in this extraordinary mountain town. She hopes to bring this mindset to the Center.
Julie McNeill
Julie McNeill worked in fast-moving consumer goods and in the waste and environmental services
industry as an Organization Development and Human Capital Management professional in Atlanta,
Georgia, Brussels, Belgium and rural Arkansas. Simultaneously, she led non-profit organizations with a
focus on dance and education. Her passion for theater and dance, magical people and dramatic stories
began deep in the Ozark Mountains and in the Arkansas Delta where she was born and raised.
Julie and her husband, Andy, raised four dynamic children and established and grew a nationwide waste
and environmental services business together. She retired from corporate, for-profit work in 2018 and
moved to the quiet, wide-open spaces of Crested Butte, Colorado. She also resides in Dallas, Texas and
Russellville, Arkansas. Julie enjoys experiencing a full life with her husband and adult children and with
her bird dog, a German-shorthaired pointer named Milo.

Bill Peatross
Bill has been a second home owner in the valley for over 30 years and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations in Crested Butte including the Mountain Heritage Museum and the Wildflower Festival.
He is an attorney in his home state of Louisiana and an ardent advocate for economic growth of that State. He served as President of the Shreveport Economic Development Foundation, a director of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and President of the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Bill was appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Louisiana Senate to the Louisiana Economic Development Corporation where he served as Chairman.
His community has recognized his successes by naming him Shreveport’s Outstanding Man of the Year, the City’s Economic Leader of Year, and the Shreveport Chamber’s Business Leader of the Year Award.
In his spare time, Bill is an avid skier, a 40+ marathoner, golfer, gardener and hiker.
