Welcome to the Center for the Arts
John Bukaty’s "100 Paintings Ago" at the Piper
|
Crested Butte live artist John Bukaty (known simply as "Bukaty") will showcase many of 100 paintings he completed last fall while traveling through India. The 100 paintings and Bukaty’s challenges in painting these art pieces are the inspiration for the documentary film "100 Paintings Ago", produced and directed by J.R. Fleming. His work has previously been on display in the Center. Or perhaps you have seen him in action during some of our productions, like Los Lobos and Janiva Magness. Join us on September 9, 5 to 8 PM for an artists reception, with some background music provided by Les Choy. The work will be on display September 7 through November 30. READ MORE
