Amanda Whiteford
Gallery Coordinator
Amanda was brought to Crested Butte to finish school, and like most people here, she has found it impossible to leave this beautiful valley since. She has an undergraduate degree in Recreation and Outdoor Education from Western Colorado University, with an Environmental Education emphasis and enjoys working at the Center for the many programs and experiences that the Center offers. Amanda spends her time playing on the aerial silks, shopping local through a few of the markets that the Center has put on, and enjoying the music and performances that the Center hosts in the Steady Theater.
An artist herself, Amanda has a wide range of work experience, from working on nationally televised Sporting Events such as X-Games or Dew Tour, working in the local ski and board repair shop on the mountain, gardening, to event coordination. Amanda loves to work with her hands, and she also loves to use her constantly stimulated mind to break down and solve more difficult puzzles. Amanda loves to ski, snowboard, skateboard, dance, paint, bike, read, and most importantly- enjoying slow sunny mornings sipping on coffee while spending time with her dog.
