A little house, a little blues, a little funk, a little rock, and a whole lot of soul blast through BoomBox. A heavy groove designed to make you move, BoomBox is the electronic work of songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux. The band’s signature sound is an electronic blend of soulful rock and blues-based dance music incorporating backbeat, psychedelia and funky house sounds, which Godchaux refers to as “Dirty Disco Blues.” BoomBox has played at Electric Forest, Hangout Music Festival, High Sierra Music Festival and Red Rocks and has received over a million plays on Spotify. Now coupled with brother-from-the-same-mother Kinsman MacKay, BoomBox exudes a special kind of chemistry.
