CBCS Enrichment Program

The Center for the Arts is proud to work in partnership with the Crested Butte Community School Enrichment Program to develop and sustain a variety of artistic and cultural programs for the school aged children of our community.

The Crested Butte Community School Enrichment Program seeks to broaden our students' experience by providing them with a variety of artistic, cultural and educational opportunities which expand upon the traditional academic program. Through our collaboration, we have offered many outstanding activities such as bringing world renowned concert pianist Alpin Hong to Crested Butte for school performances and training with band students, a new middle school art club and performances and hands-on interactions with professional dancers from Cleo Parker Robinson and Ballet Nouveau!

In 2013, the Center has offered our theater space for a variety of performances involving storytelling and the Creede Reperatory Theater; the Crested Butte Dance Collective did a special show with highlights from the November production Gypsy Caravan; and we are working on additional opportunities for an Artist in Residence program with a visual artist and an exceptional children’s film program through the Crested Butte Film Festival.

The possibilities are endless and we are thrilled to educational experiences that enrich the lives of our students.
