Sculpture Workshop

Monday, September 30 – Sunday, October 6.  $350 includes all materials. Space is limited to 10 – 12 participants, so reserve early.
Artist Ira Hill focuses on the two-part mold for iron casting during this week-long workshop. Ira tailors the workshop to the individual, making it appropriate for both those new to iron casting and those who have experience.
Your registration fee covers all sculpture materials (sand, resin, iron, etc.) and instruction.  Participants need to bring:
  • Eye protection,
  • A sketchbook and pencils
  • Materials for pattern making (patterns can be made of wood, Styrofoam, plasticine clay, ceramics that have been fired, etc.).  Please contact us if you need guidance.
Ira will be on site at The Center all week as a resource for participants outside of workshop hours.
If you do not already have experience in casting in iron, don't fret! You will have help, and now is your chance to learn how it's done!
