Michael Marsee is Executive Chef for Yarmony Ranch in Northern Colorado and owner of Hogwood BBQ in Crested Butte. While searching for the highest quality Wagyu steaks, Michael discovered Yarmony Ranch which specializes in verifiable, fullblood Japanese Wagyu beef. Michael’s cooking style is best described as classical with a modern twist inspired by international flavor profiles he picked up from living and traveling abroad. “I like to layer textures and flavors delivering a vibrant dining experience. My wide range of experience from rustic, open fire cooking on cattle drives to precision modern technique for elegant gatherings allows me to prepare foods appropriate for any setting.” Marsee is a graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont and has traveled the world as a private chef for a prominent Dubai family.
