Join us for a day of temporary public art making where children through adults, as well as local artists, are invited to draw chalk masterpieces on the sidewalks surrounding the Center. Celebrate making art together with food, beverages, and live music.  Spectating and merry making are free and open to the public.

Toddler Zone for kids under 5!

Featuring a signature chalk work and Sponsor Squares by professional artists

Cash prizes in multiple categories

Participation is just $8 in advance and $10 at the event!

Food, Beverages and LIVE Music

Spectating & merry making free and open to the public! Come together as a community to enjoy art as it’s being created!

12:00 p.m.                              Tips & Tricks Workshop with a professional artist. Free for registrants.

11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.           Art Creation Time

1:00 – 6:00 p.m.                   Food by Miso Green & Beverages

4:00 – 5:00 p.m.                     Judging with announcement of winners at 5:00 p.m.

4:00 – 6:00 p.m.                     Live Music by Americana group Avenhart

 

In the event of rain, the event will be moved to the following day – Sunday, July 7 at the same time.  


 

Avenhart possesses a sound that twists a foundation of bluegrass into the band’s love for soul, Americana, pop and indie rock, creating a unique “City-Folk” soundscape that centers around soulful harmonies, intricate arrangements and heartfelt lyrics. With rich, strong Colorado blood flowing through their veins, Avenhart brings a new interpretation of folk to the table. Avenhart performs at Chalk Walk, a community art-making event at the Center.
