The Oh Be Joyful Gallery invites you to an incredibly special event hosting the award-winning feature documentary, Out There: A National Parks Story, in our home of Crested Butte, CO!
The film follows two childhood friends embarking on a 10,000 mile road trip through the U.S. national parks to share a profound tapestry of stories from the people they meet along the way. Filmmaker Brendan Hall will be joining us for this inspiring evening, alongside the film’s composer Elizabeth P.W. to play a selection of original songs from the film’s soundtrack. Out There toured film festivals across the country in 2023, and has been headlining screening events in 2024 including The Explorers Club, the Public Lands Alliance, and Pixar Animation Studios. This screening will also be preceded by the very first screening of a short documentary that director Brendan Hall created following a horse pack trip with Oh Be Joyful artists in the summer of 2023. Those artists will be in attendance, giving extra resonance to this moment shared with the community.
