Timothy White: Structure + Chaos

These works explore the relationship between our inner lives and the world around us. Sometimes our thoughts and ideas feel carefully ordered while the world seems unpredictable or indifferent. Other times, it’s our own minds that are restless and unruly, rubbing up against systems and expectations that don’t always make space for what we’re experiencing. There are also the moments when our inner and outer worlds meet in a more harmonious way.

Timothy White is a mixed-media artist, furniture maker, and luthier. Living and working in Crested Butte, Colorado, he is inspired by the mountain surroundings.
