Event Parking

Per Town of Crested Butte regulations, parking in adjacent neighborhoods for large Center events is restricted as follows:

  • For events with over 250 attendees - view map
  • For events with over 400 attendees - view map

Please note: During large events, attendee parking on Seventh Street between Red Lady and Sopris Avenues is allowed but discouraged. Non-resident cars parked in this area are not subject to parking restrictions.

We are dedicated to ensuring this increase in capacity doesn’t mean additional parking inconveniences for you. As required by the Town of Crested Butte, we will place “resident only” parking signs in your neighborhood by 2:00 pm on large event dates and hire Interstate Parking Company to enforce the parking regulations in your neighborhood during the event.

Resident and Visitor Parking Registration
Please click here to register the license plates of your vehicle(s) and those of any visitors. Registered license plates will not be ticketed during large events. Should you receive a citation in error, please contact parkcrestedbutte@interstateparking.com.

NEW for fall 2025: All current Residential Permit holders MUST renew their permit(s) starting October 1. Those who do not renew by December 20 will be considered to be without a permit.

The permit renewal form and more information on the Town’s parking program can be found here.

Other Events
The Town of Crested Butte only requires parking to be monitored in your neighborhood during large events (listed below). For all smaller events, we strongly encourage attendees to park at the Four-Way or the Crested Butte Community School. However, parking is not restricted during these events, and members of the general public may park legally in the town right-of-way.

Please note: Alpenglow is operated under a Special Event Permit from the Town of Crested Butte and is exempt from the enforcement of parking restrictions.
