Wine + Food festival: The Grand Tasting

Everyone’s favorite summertime Crested Butte event is back in style at the Big Mine Ice Arena. Taste your way through hundreds of wines and spirits in a jovial atmosphere with live entertainment, mini seminars, light bites, and more. In 2022, the Grand Tasting features a reimagined VIP area!

Grab bites from Prieto’s Catering and other food trucks, enjoy a wildcrafting seminar at the Homestead Hut, or drop in on a variety of mini-seminars led by winemakers and sommeliers.

Your general admission ticket includes a souvenir CB Wine + Food tasting glass, unlimited wine + spirits samples, and entertainment. Unique local cuisine will be available for purchase from a variety of food vendors.

VIP entry at 2 pm is only available with the purchase of a festival pass or VIP ticket.

The 2022 Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival, now in its 12th year, is scheduled for July 20-23 and the Center’s state-of-the-art building will showcase as headquarters for many of the events. Enlighten your senses with intimate winemaker’s dinners, the Crested Butte Grand Tasting, VIP lounge with highly rated wines, and a wide range of educational seminars for the novice and connoisseur alike.

The Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival is an annual fundraiser for the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, the premier visual and performing arts venue in the region. For over 30 years, the Center has been dedicated to providing arts and cultural experiences that inspire and entertain all audiences, whether they call Crested Butte home every day or just for the weekend.

What could be better than opera and chocolate? Local favorite Elizabeth Bond returns to the Crested Butte with a delectable selection of tasty tunes in this dazzling, one-night-only production. Act One is a cabaret-style buffet of delicious ditties; in Act Two, Victoria Hansen stars as Julia Child, taking center stage following to deliver operatic instruction on how to prepare her famous Chocolate Gâteau. Guests will enjoy a slice of cake at the end of the production as the melodies and memories of France carry them home.
