Stephanie Helleckson

Program Manager, Performing Arts and Education

Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, Stephanie’s primary interests include music, culture, writing, and the outdoors. She holds both a B.A. in Music and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as an M.A. in Arts Administration from Florida State University. During her education, she has studied choral conducting, vocal performance, violin performance, ethnomusicology, composing, arranging, archaeology, writing, and editing. She has also conducted original archaeoacoustic research in kivas at Mesa Verde’s Spruce Tree House site, administered chamber music in Alaska, and wrestled wild boars at a humane society on the Hawaiian island of Maui. When not engaged in music or writing, Stephanie can often be found kayaking the Gunnison River, brushing up on her Hawaiian, or experimenting with new spices in the kitchen.
