October 29, 2020 | | No Comments

The Board of the Crested Butte Center for the Arts is delighted to announce new titles and roles for two of our most important staff members!

Melissa Mason, who has served the CFTA in a variety of roles and who was most recently the Interim Executive Director, will begin her new role as Associate Director of the CFTA on November 1, 2020. Melissa’s new position means she is taking on new leadership with the organization, including overseeing all aspects of the Center’s Visual Arts program, acting as our liaison with the School of Dance, the Yoga Collective, and our other long term renters, and managing the Kinder Padon Gallery shows and exhibitions. Melissa will also supervise all of the Center’s programming staff.

Brooke MacMillan will also take on new leadership roles with the CFTA in her new position as Director of Literary Arts and Lectures. Previously, Brooke was the Literary Arts Program Manager. In her new role, Brooke will have expanded authority over the Center’s literary programming, including implementing new residency programs, collaborating with the Gunnison Arts Center on our annual Literary Festival, managing the “Murder in the Mountains” mystery writers festival, and coordinating an expanded program of arts and culture lectures.

Congratulations to Melissa and Brooke on their new roles at the Center for the Arts!
