“Abby and Travis got married in their favorite place – Crested Butte. Abby has been going her whole life and started bringing Travis while dating. They got engaged there a year before their wedding. Travis had contacted Abby‘s favorite restaurant on a day they were closed. The Sunflower and Travis worked together to open the restaurant and surprise Abby with a private engagement. A year of planning ensued. Abby wanted a winter wonderland wedding but venue’s were hard to come by. Luckily, a family friend offered their back yard for the ceremony! With snow piled high, Abby and Travis hired the snow team from Crested Butte (who create the ski parks) to create a snow packed back yard that can hold chairs and people!!! Next – the reception was held at the Center for the Arts. A huge theatre that Abby wanted transformed into a winter garden. The black tie affair was studded with small details – napkins with their dogs, blankets for the snow and ceremony, espresso martinis as their signature drinks. To a T, the event was a stand out. Only to end with a light up dance floor and the best band they could ask for! There are so many nuanced details to this wedding and their love story.”
